Collection: Online Trucking School

The Art of Commercial Trucking is an FMCSA certified training provider that offers an online theory-based training to assist drivers with getting their Class-A CDL Learner's Permit. The training is provided on a bi-monthly basis and is done completely online.

Students have the opportunity to learn through lectures, videos, and real-world scenarios that truck drivers face on the road. 

Tuition: $750 (includes one week of online training, 7 books as listed below).

Books Included: The Art of Commercial Trucking: Hours of Services, The Art of Commercial Trucking: Class A CDL Permit Workbook, The Art of Commercial Trucking: Trip Planning Workbook, J. J. Keller® Entry-Level Driver Training Obtaining a CDL Student Manual, Logbook, The Pocket Truck Stop Guide, 2022 Motor Carriers' Road Atlas (Rand McNally Motor Carriers' Road Atlas).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00pm ET-10:00pm ET.

Enrollment Process

When a student enrolls, they will receive an application via their email to complete. Once the application is completed and returned the student will receive confirmation that their books have been mailed to them.

Each student will receive a career counseling session where they will select one of the two enrollment tracks.

Apprenticeship Track

Students that select the apprenticeship track will obtain their CDL Class A theory training certification after one week of training and passing a comprehensive final exam. The student will take the CDL Class A Permit examination in their state. Upon passing their exam, students will be eligible for a number of apprenticeship programs nation-wide. Secondary Trucking School Track

Students that select the secondary trucking school track will obtain their CDL Class A theory training certification after one week of training and passing a comprehensive final exam. The student will take the CDL Class A Permit examination in their state. Upon passing their exam, students will be eligible to continue their training in-person at an FMCSA approved training school.

This program is designed to save drivers time and money without compromising safety.
